I love the depth of field (DOF) in the close-ups of Ashley and Justin. Blurry trees and rocks in the background really work for me. Great work with that new camera.
Also, this is probably the cutest picture of Mia that you have posted to date. (Can guys even comment on kid cute-ness? I don't care, really. I figure that dads of little girls have earned that right...) To steal an applicable phrase that I read recently, Mia could not be more adorable if she were made of puppies!
Also, I would still like the specs on the new camera...
"Thanks for commenting on my blog. It's nice to know someone is interested! I forgot that you were into photography (you are, right?). I have no idea about DOF or whatever and all that jazz. I wanted a nice camera that took pictures fast at a high quality. I will never outgrow this camera, I am sure. Maybe if I get really into it. It has a lot of manual functions, but the auto works great. The pictures I posted were all taken with the telephoto lens. It's awesome.
It's a Canon rebel XTI. Got it at Costco. Not an inexpensive item, but we are hoping it lasts our lifetime."
Is there a reason you posted your reply outside of this string? I'm sure many of your countless readers want to hear about your new Canon Rebel XTI so I'm posting it back in the comment stream! :-) If not, you may delete this comment...
I agree that it is nice to see a blog comment once in a while. It's tough to know if anyone is even reading, much less enjoying, blog posts without a few comments here and there.
I am very jealous of you for scoring such a nice camera (not righteous, I know). While I love my little Canon PS SD700 IS, it is a little difficult to feel like I am "into photography" when I only carry around an ELPH-sized point-and-shoot. I have little doubt that your new Rebel will serve you for a very long time, possibly even for a lifetime. I wish your husband would buy one for me, too...
What beautiful shots! You are a natural photographer! My dad has that camera. It's a great one. People say you are either Nikon or Cannon people. I love my Nikon, but I say, I am a pictures girl. If the pics turn out well, I am happy. Good for you!
Whoo Hoo for new cameras!! That is a great one. Really simple to use. Now I need to talk to hanz to get you a good lens. (A great lens will change your life.)
